Applying.

  1. Submit your AMCAS in ASAP, i.e. make sure it gets to Washington D.C. the day before they first accept applications.
  2. Make sure your personal statement glows. Tell your story and $not$ the story you think medical schools want to hear. They see $thousands$ of applications a year so don't try to pull the wool over their eyes. They've seen and heard it all. Be honest, humble and insightful.
  3. When you get secondary applications, mail them back completed the day after you receive them. It may be painful at first, but knock out the secondaries the night you get them; mail them first thing in the morning.
