Free-Falling Objects



What is Galileo's hypothesis regarding free-falling objects?


Law 4   At a given location on Earth, and in the absence of air resistance, all objects fall with the same constant acceleration.



Clearly, the constant acceleration that Galileo referred to is the acceleration due to gravity, $g$, which equals 10 $m/s^{2}$ (Note: for MCAT purposes, make your life easier by rounding 9.80 $m/s^{2}$ to 10 $m/s^{2}$).
